Early years
I am born in Düsseldorf Germany and grew up around the river Rhine in Düsseldorf, Neuss and St. Goar.
School and University
In St. Goarshausen I attended the Wilhelm Hoffman Gymnasium. Ah yes, in 1983 I got my first computer a Commodore VC64 and started to key in games from magazines, this was where I was hooked to computer science.
1991 I started to study electrotechnical engineering at the University of applied science in Koblenz. To my delight, the education I got there was rather focussed on hands on computer science than electrical engineering. Feeling an unrest I took the chance to complete my last term at the Staffordshire University in the UK.
Career
Back in January 1995 I joined Ericsson Eurolab Deutschland in Aachen as a software designer. My steps from there were team leader and project manager all in the area of software development.
2003 I changed to T-Mobile International making the step from a vendor to an operator. Working on Push To Talk, Ring Back Tone and various other systems as a designer and later as a Chief Solution Designer.
2007 I passed the test as Project Management Professional (PMP).
2010 I joined the Deutsche Telekom AG.
